• Initially: Production data mirrored to BCV1

• Split mirrored copy (BCV1) of data from Production. This becomes copy for backup.

• Attach BCV2 to resynchronize while BCV1 is being used for backup

• Split BCV2 from production and do next backup

• Attach BCV1 for resync
