Configuring OmniBack II Block Size
OmniBack II default is 64kbytes for most devices (limited to 56kbytes on NT)
determines how much data at a time gets passed to the tape over the SCSI/FC bus
increasing block size can increase performance (128kb, 256kb, …)
changing block size requires re-initialization of tapes!
block size needs to be the same for restore
