Company Profile

For over 16 years, Bradmark has deployed tools for mission-critical software applications. We understand that mission critical applications run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Simply put, these systems cannot go down. Throughout the past 30 years, these applications have been running on the large mainframe, or midrange systems. Even today the same systems continue to run mission critical applications. The security, reliability, and performance offered by these machines (from IBM, Amdahl, HP, and DEC) have yet to be paralleled by any of the emerging systems.

Bradmark established an excellent reputation in the area of database support products within the HP 3000 community. We have capitalized on our ability to bring to market database utility software needed by the Database Administrator (DBA). Bradmark's flagship product DBGENERAL could be found on over 10,000 HP computer systems around the world.

Emerging technologies such as the WEB, and Windows-based applications ( MS Office, Lotus Notes) rely on platforms such as NT and UNIX. Therefore, there is very clear distinction between mission-critical, and non-critical. The new business model however, requires homogeneity. Corporate customers, and in-house users demand that their WEB browser be able to access data on a flat file platform, a hierarchical database, or a relational one – regardless of the platform. The pressure to link these disparate systems is considerable as it greatly impacts corporate performance - and profitability. To ensure controlled migration, and integration of mission critical applications to emerging technologies, Bradmark introduced the StarVision Middleware product suite.
