"Consultant Survey"
This survey is a follow up on the recent announcement by Hewlett-Packard about their decision to end support for MPE/iX effective December 31, 2006. A group has been formed to explore the possibility of transferring the responsibility for future support and enhancements of the MPE Operating System to a new "entity". The intent would be to extend the "life" well beyond the above mentioned date.
To that end, we need you input. All information provided will be kept confidential. If you currently have an MPE based computer running, regards of intent to migrate or not, please take a few minutes to complete this survey. While this survey is in no way considered a commitment on your company's part, the information will be used to determine the level of support from the "end user" community.
Also, please distribute the "Customer Survey" to your install base.

1) How many MPE based customers do you have?
2) How many were considering migrating before the announcement?
3) How many are now considering migrating?
4) If yes to #3 is greater then zero, to what platforms?
5) If MPE remained intact but was supported by somebody other then HP would you continue to use it?
6) Would you encourage or recommend your clients stay with MPE if it was supported by somebody other then HP?
7) May we follow-up with you with other questions as we progress in our research and determine other points of focus?
